Throughout nursing school and honestly the rest of your nursing career, the way you talk to, treat and care for your patients and their families will depend on their cognitive level and developmental level.

While some think this is just something you need to memorize for nursing school (AND YOU DO HAVE TO MEMORIZE IT!), it is important to note that while you may not actively realize it, but you will use this for the rest of your life.
